About
Mya Elkins
I grew up overweight, so I know what it feels like to be standing outside the fitness world looking in. This experience became one of my greatest obstacles and one of my greatest teachers. Choosing to start my weight-loss journey required stepping into discomfort, confronting self-doubt, and showing up before any confidence existed. Those early days pushed me far beyond my comfort zone. Through that process, I gained something far greater than physical change; I gained ownership over my health, my mindset, and my life.
I was initially drawn to the idea of becoming a psychotherapist, but I realized that inspiring people to pursue their own fitness journey is just as impactful. As my running evolved, strength training became the foundation that allowed me to stay strong, mobile, and resilient. Exercise is something we can return to no matter how chaotic life becomes. My goal as a coach is to help people step into spaces that feel intimidating at first, whether that’s the weight room, the track, or their first run around the block. Because real transformation begins when we learn to be comfortable getting uncomfortable.
